He doesn't apologize, because that would be calling undue attention to the reaction, but he does make a note to himself not to do it again. As for the rest, well, he has a very weird view on relationships of every stripe--familial, romantic, and otherwise platonic--so he doesn't tend to read much into anyone's reactions on that count.

"Good! He's offered to help me teach marksmanship with anyone who takes me up on the offer, and Force knows we could all use ways to keep busy and be useful on this Hutt-fucking disaster of a ship." He grimaces in distaste, though that's the most displeasure or discomfort he's ever expressed on their current situation. He's used to rolling with what the universe throws his way, and he's well past showing his thoughts and feelings on his face unless he wants to.
