The Barge is a poorly conceived hostel, paved with good intentions without the actual understanding of how any of this is perceived by the people who are brought here.

It's both entirely in our control and completely out of it how anyone accepts and reacts to what happens here, but I refuse to participate in it if I can't at least attempt to do what I was asked to do when the Admiral approached me.

I have that choice, and no one has the ability to take that away from any of us for longer than a breach at a time.
